Sangam K.C Assistant Instructor, KCC Basic Group
Sangam is a trekking guide for Shangri-La Nepal Trekking. Originally from Sarlahi, a village 200 miles south of Kathmandu, he often organizes rock climbing trips for his clients in the Kathmandu Valley. With 5 years of guiding experience, he has also guided treks to Everest Basecamp, the Annapurna circuit, Lobuche Peak, and a climb of Ama Dablam. Sangam is also fluent in Korean and Hindi, and conversational in Chinese. Outside of Nepal, he has climbed in India and Ladakh. As an avid sport climber, Sangam has aspirations to expand rock climbing tourism in western Nepal. Sangam started out as a KCC student in 2013 and became an assistant instructor in 2015. He loves how KCC forms a community of climbing instructors in Nepal and constantly brings new students into that fold.
