Satish Man Pati Lead Instructor, KCC Basic Group

Satish is a trekking guide and business owner from southern Nepal (Birgunj). He now lives in Kathmandu where he runs his trekking company Nireka Adventure and works as a mountain leader. His company guides big mountain expeditions as well as treks to Annapurna and Everest base camps. Satish has been climbing for 24 years and some of his climbing achievements include Lobuche Peak, Manaslu, Ama Dablam, Mera Peak, Island Peak, and more. He also spent time working in Japan, is fluent in Japanese, and experienced with guiding Japanese clients. In addition to Nepali and Japanese, Satish also speaks English, Urdu, and Newari. Many of his clients are over age 60 and he has taken this older clientele to summit 8,000m peaks like Cho Oyu and Manaslu. He has also participated in the Alex Lowe Charitable Foundation National Park Exchange program, through which he participated in ranger patrols on Denali, in the Grand Tetons, and in Yosemite. Satish has been a KCC instructor since 2011 and a lead instructor since 2012.
