Keshar Shrestha

Keshar Shrestha Assistant Instructor, KCC Advanced Group

Keshar works as a mountain leader and trekking guide for his brother’s company, Nepal Fairstep Trekking. Originally from Garma, a village in the Solu region of Nepal, Keshar has been guiding for 10 years and climbing for 7 years. While he currently lives in Kathmandu, Keshar leads trips throughout Nepal in the Everest area, the Annapurna area, and Cho La pass. Aside from leading clients to summit 6,000 meter peaks, like Island Peak and Lobuche Peak, Keshar has also led technical mountaineering expeditions in the Rolwaling region and across Tashi Lapcha Pass. Outside of Nepal, Keshar climbed Wildspitze Peak in the Austrian Alps and worked a seasonal position in the Swiss-Austrian tourism industry for 6 years. As a mountain leader, Keshar focuses on training other guides in navigation, client care and client safety, and he loves that KCC has a structured and organized program for teaching these skills. Keshar has been with KCC since 2012 and became an assistant instructor in 2014.
