Passang Dawa Sherpa Assistant Instructor, KCC Basic Group
Pasang is a trekking and mountain guide from Chheplung, a town near Lukla. He works for Khumbu Icefall Treks and Expeditions, a Nepali-owned guide company. Overall, Pasang has been guiding and climbing for 6 years. Some of his mountaineering achievements include, 5 trips per year to Lobuche Peak, guiding on Mera Peak, and guiding on Island Peak. Most of his clients are European, specifically German and Irish. On a 2015 expedition on Island Peak, Pasang rescued a climber who fell in a crevasse shortly after summiting. As a recently graduated KCC student (2014/15), Pasang is grateful for the safety skills the KCC program teaches its students. Pasang was a first year assistant instructor with KCC in 2016, and his wife Ang Sona is an English teacher for KCC.
